Calas & goats!
Don't forget to rent a car cause you’ll need one to get around the island…. it is worth it!
Places I remember I liked:
Cala Mit Jana
Nestled between rocky cliffs and pine-covered hills, this cala (cove) features crystal-clear turquoise waters that gently lap against rugged, textured stone.
Unlike more developed beaches on the island, Cala Mitjana offers raw nature and solitude — accessible by a short "hike", it's the kind of place where time slows down and nature takes center stage.
There’s a way to reach Cala Mitjana by foot — you’ll need to park on the street nearby. From there, just follow the people heading toward the trail. It’s not super well-marked (we only saw two signs along the way), so it’s easy to feel a bit lost — but don’t worry! Just keep walking until you catch a glimpse of the turquoise water… that’s when you know you’ve made it!
Later you can drive to:
the drive to:
Portocolom
Walk on the little town (close to the water on “ Rda. Miquel Massutí Alzamora” street) get groceries get gas…
Get and icecream at Puro Gelato.
(forgot to take pics sorry)
Other side of the island:
Deià
A small coastal village on the northwest coast of Mallorca, Spain, is one of the island’s most enchanting and picturesque towns. Nestled in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Deià is famed for its natural beauty, artistic history, and bohemian charm.
Looks like a mini “nativity” in real life.
Grab some tea and refreshments at “El Olivo”
Part of La Recidencia, A Belmont Hotel … so it is not gonna be cheap but the view is worth it!
Other other side of the island:
NUMA Beach Club
Where we stayed:
AUMALLIA HOTEL & SPA
A charming country house thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hotel. While it preserves its traditional character. Tucked away in a quiet part of the island, far from the crowds and tourist hustle, it offers a serene and authentic Mallorcan experience — the perfect place to unwind and reconnect.
It also features a newly built spa that adds a touch of modern luxury.
One of the highlights of our stay was the included breakfast. Served fresh every morning, it featured a delicious selection of local products — from just-baked bread and seasonal fruit to island-made cheeses and cold cuts. A comforting, flavorful start to the day that truly reflects the spirit of Mallorca.
All in all, Mallorca was a perfect blend of quiet coves, local charm, and slow, sun-drenched days —
