A Star Wars City You Can Actually Visit

Back in 2023, I visited La Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia, Spain. At the time, I was just amazed by the futuristic white buildings, endless water reflections, and the way Santiago Calatrava’s architecture felt straight out of a sci-fi movie.

Fast forward to when Andor Season 2 came out—and suddenly I had déjà vu. Watching Coruscant on screen, I thought: I’ve seen this before! Then it clicked: I had walked those very same promenades in Valencia.

The City of Arts and Sciences is not just for Star Wars fans, though. It’s home to the Hemisfèric planetarium, the Oceanogràfic (Europe’s largest aquarium), and an interactive science museum. Whether you’re into architecture, culture, or just want a stunning place to wander, Valencia delivers.

Fun fact: Andor went on to win four Creative Arts Emmy® Awards
